Who Am I?

Who is Heather R?  I am not AI generated.  I am an average person living in the Midwest.  I am married and I have one giant dog and a rag-tag kitty cat that came from the pound.  My day job is spent pouring into other people, so I guess that’s why I love sharing these tidbits of “light” with my readers.  I enjoy being outdoors spending time in the beautiful nature that is all around in the area that I live.  I would much rather be cold than hot, so anything over 85 degrees is way too hot, and my cold threshold has no limit.
Since 2020, my life has been one crazy ride!  I have been met with some really amazing things as well as some really horrible things….loss, moving, new job opportunity, acting upon a long-time dream of living where we want to.  Through it all, I found strength in my faith as well as my village.  After moving to a completely different state, I lost what I discovered was one of the things that was most precious to me, my “people.”  I mean, I still had my husband…who’s amazing!!....but those friends that I griped to and laughed hysterically with during lunch were a staple in my life and now I don't see them every day.  I have met new friends and I am still adjusting to a new life in my new habitat, but I still go through times where all I want to do is cry or throw tantrums. (We’ve all been there, right?)
When this blog idea came to me, it sort of hit me like a train.  The ideas for things to post about just flooded out of me!  I just kept taking notes…on my phone, in my journal, on random scraps of paper.  And here I am.  I have no idea how long this blog will go.  I have no idea if I will become rich and famous because of it or if it’ll just be a hobby, but I do feel like the internet is so full of complete crap, and I want to put my small mark on it by leaving behind something good.  (Life lesson kids….anything you put on the internet is there FOREVER!)  I probably won’t have perfect punctuation or word things perfectly, but know that my heart and intent behind every word is good.  I hope that you leave with a Little Bit of Light.
